Buckle Up!

Dec 24, 2009

I wanted to wish all of my subscribers a most blessed and joyous Christmas. I don’t know about you, but I love the holidays. All my children are home, I’ve been cooking and baking for weeks preparing and we just enjoy being together, playing Monopoly and celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Honestly, HE is the best gift imaginable. My gift to you this week as you celebrate with your families is this story that speaks of the importance of properly placed faith, taken with permission from the book, “750 Engaging Illustrations.” I offer it as my gift to you and hope it blesses you:

“In April 1988 the evening news reported on a photographer who was a skydiver. He had jumped from a plane along with numerous other skydivers and filmed the group as they fell and opened their parachutes. On the film shown on the telecast, as the final skydiver opened his chute, the picture went berserk. The announcer reported that the cameraman had fallen to his death, having jumped out of the plane without his parachute. It wasn’t until he reached for the absent ripcord that he realized he was freefalling without a parachute.

Until that point, the jump probably seemed exciting and fun. But tragically, he had acted with thoughtless haste and deadly foolishness. Nothing could save him, for his faith was in a parachute never buckled on. Faith in anything but an all-sufficient God can be just as tragic spiritually. Only with faith in Jesus Christ dare we step into the dangerous excitement of life.”

A Sincere Invitation
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, let’s take the time to truly appreciate this gift of salvation God freely offers to each one of us. We exercise our faith numerous times daily in so many different ways. We turn the key in the ignition of our car and expect it to start – that’s faith. We sit in a chair fully expecting it to hold us – that’s faith. Do you have unshakable faith that God is your Heavenly Father, that Jesus Christ died for you and that you will never really die but live with Him forever? If your faith is not based on the truth of the Gospel it is just as dangerous as jumping from an airplane without a parachute as this story illustrates. Visit http://www.threedimensionalvitality.com/A_Sincere_Invitation.htmland either pray the prayer to receive salvation or recommit your life to Jesus. What better time than today? Then send me an email so I can pray for you and send you a gift to encourage you in your faith. I would consider it a privilege.

As we celebrate the birth of Christ, I wish you all the most joyous and blessed Christmas ever. My prayer is that you have your “parachute” securely buckled on – that rock solid faith in God. I thank you for subscribing to this newsletter and spending this past year with me. I look forward to another year of sharing information that encourages, empowers and educates you as you seek to live a life of true, vibrant health and wholeness.

Until next week, as always I wish you abundant, overflowing health, peace and joy and I call you BLESSED (empowered to prosper and succeed)!
