Are You Really Ready?

Did you know? More often than not, we unintentionally sabotage ourselves? It’s true. Once you have prepared your spirit and soul and made a firm commitment to stay the course (7 weeks is NOT that long!), next you must prepare yourself physically. That has two parts.

First, prepare your body for the changes you will be making in how you eat. One of the easiest, most overlooked and most effective way to prepare yourself to lose fat and feel great while you do it is probably the best kept secret.

Here it is – ready?

DRINK MORE WATER.

Yes, that’s it! Sounds too simple – but do you really drink enough water? Or any at all? I am talking about pure, clean water – plain and simple – not coffee, tea, juice or any other liquid. Just water.

So how much should you drink? Here’s a simple formula: Drink one-half your body weight in ounces of clean water DAILY. So if you weigh 200 lbs. you need 100 ounces of water throughout the day. I also suggest ¼ tsp. of a natural, unprocessed salt (Celtic sea salt for example) for every 32 oz. of water. This provides natural minerals, is very alkalizing and balances fluids in your body.

Begin gradually and work up to the proper amount and take a week or two to get your body ready. There are specific times to drink that will boost your metabolism that I explain in “Today’s the Day.” But spread it out in 8 or 16 oz. portions throughout the day and you may lose some weight before you even change how you eat!

Do you realize losing 20 lbs. with Weight Watchers could cost you as much as $200; over $700 with NutriSystem and between $1,000 and $2,000 with Jenny Craig! “Today’s the Day” is not just another “diet book.” FOR UNDER $30 you have proven, balanced step-by-step information that enables you to do this on your own – AND you have access to me by email for questions. You aren’t left alone to try and figure things out! Aren’t you worth it?

Back to physical preparation – part two. Now you need to clean out the kitchen. Here’s where it’s so easy to sabotage yourself. If you don’t make your environment “friendly” to the changes you are making, you will fail.

If you have a family and think you must have “snacks” for them, why not enlist their help? Share what you are doing and why. And with this Plan, snacks are encouraged. You learn to choose the right type of snacks that actually boost your metabolism. Your whole family may just end up getting healthier in the process!

So, out with the old and in with the new! There are no “weird” foods, expensive shakes – just good, healthy nutrient-dense food that nourishes you right down to your cells instead of filling your belly with empty-calorie junk that satisfies your hunger momentarily but starves your body and makes you fat and sick.

There’s more to this – but these two simple steps will truly jumpstart your efforts in a big way.

Next week we will touch on another tip so many people ignore that according to recent research can give you a HUGE advantage.

Until next week, as always, I wish you overflowing, abundant health, peace and joy and I call you BLESSED (empowered to prosper and succeed!).
